Resetting iPhone to Factory default settings
As a final option, the complete iPhone can be reset to the Factory default settings. This is a comparatively “aggressive” reset which wipes off all data, and resets all configurations and personalized settings to their default states. The “Default state” is either when the iPhone was first purchased prior to initial setup or the state when the iPhone first came from the production Factory (as the name suggests).

- Go to iPhone settings
- Choose General from the Settings menu
- You’ll find the option to reset and choose “Erase All Content and Settings”
- Your phone will be restored to its factory settings after this procedure.
