Google Play Protect keeps Apps Secure and Data Private

Google Play Protect is a security solution which tries to proactively verify the security posture of Apps on the Google Play Store before users download them. This is done by checking compliance of the Apps to specific security policies defined by Google play.

Google play protect continually checks and verifies the security posture of already downloaded and installed Apps from other sources to detect compromise or malicious activities.

It proactively warns users of potentially malicious Apps and/or in some extreme cases deactivate malicious Apps on your android smartphone.

Follow below steps to activate Google Play Protect on your android device:

1. Navigate to the Google Play Store app on your smartphone.
2. Tap to start the Google Play Store App and open your account profile name on the upper right corner.
3. Tap on the “Play Protect” option to access Google Play Protect.
4. Tap “Turn on” option to enable and check for security risks on your device.
