To delete your potentially compromised browsing data

Such cases usually manifest as in browser pop-ups. In such a situation, you can simply “Clear your device cache” that is; delete all browser history, browser data, and clear all browser add-ons. Most malware/viruses are advanced and may not be fully cleaned with this process, it is nevertheless worth trying in case you have critical data without backup.

1. Go to the device settings
2. Search for your applicable browser (in our case; Chrome browser)
3. Select Chrome from the Apps & Notifications section of your Settings
4. Navigate to the “Storage and Cache” option of the menu
5. Finally, tap on “Clear Storage” and “Clear Cache” options
