HOW TO BOOT THE ANDROID DEVICE INTO SAFE MODE

To successfully uninstall potentially infected app

Booting Android device is “Safe Mode” puts the device in a “Diagnostics states”. This state ensures that only Apps and Services crucial for starting the Android OS to a usable state are initiated. This means no 3rd party Apps and Services will be initiated, no unnecessary themes, add-ons, graphics, etc. shall be initiated. This state enables the user to easily uninstall potentially malicious and unknown Apps and Services, as well as completely uninstall the infected App (if known). Different Android devices have different methods for booting into Safe Mode. But in most cases, it requires pressing a combination of buttons which usually includes the Power button. Follow below steps to Boot your Android version 8.0.0 on Samsung Galaxy S7:

Boot the device into safe mode: to successfully uninstall potentially infected App
  1. hold the Power button until the ‘Power off’ prompt appears on the screen then release
  2. Touch and hold Power off until the ‘Safe mode’ prompt appears then release
  3. Tap “Safe mode” to confirm.
  4. The process may take up to 30 seconds to complete.
  5. Upon reboot, ‘Safe mode’ appears in the lower-left of the unlock / Home screen.

Check to see if the problems persist after entering safe mode. If not, it’s more than probable that a third-party app was infected with malware.
